Dear Friend,
We at Congregation Or Ami are appreciative of your interest in
learning more about our synagogue. Although our synagogue is only
four years old, our membership is comprised of caring individuals
with an extensive involvement in all aspects of synagogue life.
Regardless of the diversity of age and family make-up in our
congregation, there is a deeply shared goal of creating an intimate
and supportive setting in which religious and spiritual growth can
occur.
Congregation Or ami has in its brief history set an
innovative direction in the area of religious education
and Shabbat worship. Check out our Bayit
Project on this website and it will outline our
creative and exciting program for Jewish learning. Our
Shabbat and holiday services,
including our new Simchat Shabbat Learning Minyan,
offer congregants an opportunity to participate in worship
and to deepen their understanding
of the prayers. We are confident that you will find our
services to be enjoyable and fulfilling.
We are also a congregation that enjoys forming friendships
among our members as well as relationships with Jews and non-Jews
outside of the synagogue. Or Ami features a monthly Dinner Club
event, a Lag B’Omer picnic, Film Series, and Mitzvah Projects
regarding hunger, healthcare, and other social justice issues.
Congregation Or ami has an open membership policy
and we welcome your further interest in our synagogue. If
you should desire additional information or would like to
discuss becoming a member, please e-mail me at the synagogue office.
We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
B'Shalom,
Scott Bishop, Membership Chair
